REQUIREMENTS FOR MUSICIANS
COVID WAIVERS
All musicians joining us are required to sign and return a Cambrian COVID Waiver by the specified date for the set. YOU ONLY NEED TO SUBMIT THIS ONCE EVER; if you have provided in prior seasons, you DO NOT need to submit again. This agreement states the following:
RETURN TO REHEARSAL AFTER COVID-19
After recent COVID-19 illness or positive test, a player can return to the set provided the following conditions are met:

REQUIREMENTS FOR MUSICIANS
- BEGINNING MARCH 2023: Vaccination for COVID-19 is no longer required.
- Send a signed Cambrian COVID Waiver to [email protected] by the indicated date for each set. If you have provided this documentation previously in prior seasons, you DO NOT need to submit again.
- Masks:
- FOR NUTCRACKER: Masks are REQUIRED in the SJCPA, including backstage. Winds, brass, and conductor may remove their masks when actively playing/conducting in the pit.
- For our regular concert sets: Masks are strongly recommended but are not required for any musician unless otherwise specified by our board.
- Please practice social distancing as much as possible while in our rehearsal and concert venues.
- Policies for audience:
- SJCPA (Nutcracker): Masks are required for audience ages 2+. Proof of vaccination is not required.
- Hammer Theatre: We intend to follow Hammer Theatre's current policies for audience attendance. As of 6/23/22: Masks are recommended for all patrons. Proof of vaccination is not required. See https://hammertheatre.com/faq/.
COVID WAIVERS
All musicians joining us are required to sign and return a Cambrian COVID Waiver by the specified date for the set. YOU ONLY NEED TO SUBMIT THIS ONCE EVER; if you have provided in prior seasons, you DO NOT need to submit again. This agreement states the following:
- Your attendance at any Cambrian event is your attestation that you have not had COVID-19 symptoms within the past 14 days, nor have you had close unprotected contact (within 6 feet for 15 minutes or longer, without face covering) with any confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19 within the past 14 days. If you have had symptoms or close contact within the past 14 days, you must notify us and we will discuss with you how to proceed.
- You agree to notify Cambrian if you develop COVID-19 symptoms within 14 days of attending any Cambrian event. We will not identify you but we will inform the group that they may have been exposed.
- You will not sue Cambrian if you develop COVID-19.
RETURN TO REHEARSAL AFTER COVID-19
After recent COVID-19 illness or positive test, a player can return to the set provided the following conditions are met:
- It has been at least 7 days since their first positive test.
- They can attest that they are now testing negative.
- They can attest that any symptoms are resolving, including being fever-free more than 24 hours without medication and diarrhea-free for 48 hours.
- If the player is returning sooner than 10 days since their first positive test, the player must wear a mask when possible through the 10th day since their first positive test.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS, TEST POSITIVE, OR HAVE A CLOSE CONTACT

- If you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19 that can't be explained by another known cause (allergies etc) within 14 days of any Cambrian event:

- We encourage you to test for COVID-19.
- We ask that you stay home from rehearsal until you can attest that you have tested negative for COVID-19. At-home tests are sufficient.
- If you test positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of any Cambrian event:
- Email [email protected]
- Include the date of your first positive test
- Include whether or not you were masked at prior rehearsals in the set, if any
- Include whether or not you are experiencing symptoms, and when they began
- If you have a close contact within 14 days prior to any Cambrian event:
- Email [email protected]
- Include whether or not you have tested, and if you have tested, what your test results are.
- Include whether you have recently recovered from COVID yourself
- Include whether you are boosted
- Include when your close contact stopped testing positive and started testing negative, if known.
- If you are returning to rehearsal after recently recovering from COVID:
- Email [email protected]
- You must be able to attest that you are now testing negative for COVID. At-home tests are sufficient for this purpose.
- Include the date of your first positive test
- Confirm whether or not any symptoms you may have had are resolving, and how long it has been since you had fever or diarrhea
- You may return to rehearsal provided:
- It has been at least 7 days since your first positive test.
- You can attest that you are now testing negative.
